RCRCM 2000mm Wingspan Slope Racer – Cylon
Hello friends this time I am pleased to share with you my last flight slope design ... the CYLON !!
It is a 2m wing glider and xtail, full composite and designed for flight in slope that will be manufactured
also in electric version.
I decided to use the same concept as estabilizador with elevator that gives us good resulting in xtail Tabu,
so achieving a perfect trim!
In the wings we find two high performance mixed profiles that will give different benefits depending on
the needs of each pilot, which will allow each customer to enjoy a high performance flight.
Is appropriate to say that the CYLON will be the first of a series of gliders who will be flying soon on many
hillsides world.
Manufactured with the best composite materials and special resins, give the Cylon hardness necessary
in order to demand their full potential. Pilots will have a very easy glider to transport and assemble in the
slope and also will can enjoy a flight agile, fast and with high dynamic performances.
As always I want to thank my friends RCRCM for trusting my designs and this one in particular because
it will be the first of a glider´s amazing series.

Available in 4 Versions:
Fiberglass+Carbon Standard Version: Standard hollow molded fiberglass construction reinforced with carbon fiber which gives good stiffness and torsion stability with lower weigh and cost. Highly recommended for sport flying.
Carbon Version: Wings built using carbon cloth as well as fuselage reinforced with carbon from leading edge of the wing to the tail. This configuration gives the model enormous stiffness and torsion stability.
The first two versions are available in stock. We also can produce two custom versions; Light Carbon Version (less weight) and Double Carbon Version (with two layers of carbon).

The Settings for Cylon:
CG: 90 - 95 mm from leading edge
Elevator:
5 mm up
8 mm down (5mm for flying / 8mm needed for Butterfly)
Rudder:
15 mm each side (as much as you can get)
Ailerons:
15 mm up (or more if you like)
5-8 mm down (or more if you like)
Butterfly:
Ailerons: 20 mm up
Flaps: 45° - 60° down
Elevator: 6mm down
Paint Scheme is also available in a wide range of colors, besides standard color scheme presents on this website and can also include some other color schemes.
Another important thing about the surface of the glider: this RCRCM glider is fully moulded. Mould precision ensures that each glider has a complete aerodynamic layout but in the process of composite production, there is a slight chance of very tiny air bubbles or slight cloth grain. In the unlikely event that these small imperfections exist, they do not affect the structural strength or flight performance.
Glider long term storage: Hang glider vertically to reduce the stress on the glider surfaces to avoid deformation that could adversely affect flight performance and trim.
